I called Dr. Ruth Jacobs to talk anal sex, black men, HIV and marriage equality
Hell yeah! I called the woman who did not justify her correlation between Black men, anal sex and HIV as a marriage equality deterrent. I’m a critical/free thinker and needed to know why! Therefore, I googled her number easily: 15001 Shady Grove Rd, Rockville, MD 20850-6352, (301) 315-9515. AND that’s her number fo’ sho.
At approx. 8:30pm I called Dr. Jacobs. Throughout I was professional and polite. She seemed a bit flustered by my call seeking clarification to the above inquiry. She wanted to know my affiliation. I simply stated, ” a concerned citizen”. She stated, “for one, you normalize it[ anal sex]; people will be afraid; … they will teach anal sex in schools… I want to save the kids,”
Repeatedly, I asked her to clarify the correlation; why targeting black men? She gave no answer, but to repeat that the kids; the anus will tear, etc… Never did she address black men, HIV, and marriage equality. She repeated, as on video, the anus is for output not input; the anus walls tear easily. I inform Dr. Jocobs that’s HIV 101 stuff. Kids should be taught comprehensive sex education; also, all gay men ( to include black gay men) do not participate in anal sex, just llike all heteros do not participate in anal sex.
Question. So what has been normalized about heterosexual sex? They practice anal sex too – Right? Ok, I have a bit of formal education ref sex; therefore, Lawd knows I tried to thoroughly listen to Dr. Jacobs, but her rational was baseless and very Right bias. She asked my position on marriage equallity. I stated, ” it’s irrelevant; my concern is your rhetoric about black gays, HIV, anal sex and their relationship to oppose marriage equality.”
Also, I tried to address with Dr. Jacobs studies where women say the anus is equally or more sensitive than the vagina. Also, a sample of women practice anal sex to experience physical pleasure, enhance emotional intimacy, please their male partners or avoid violence, etc… Also, research show nearly 45% of women experience anal intercourse. Well… Dr. Jacobs! Are you practicing anal sex? Maybe she should!
Dr. Ruth Jacob quickly thanked me and quickly hung up, “thank you buy buy”

I encourage you too – call Dr. Ruth Jacob. Don’t be scared -just because she has a title in front of her name; I have a title behind my name. Unfortunately, advance degrees don’t make us all critical thinkers nor free thinkers.
