The New Civil Rights Movement

If I hear one more ignant Negro lay ownership to civil rights, I’m gonna….!!!!
Civil Rights: The rights belonging to an individual by virtue of citizenship, especially the fundamental freedoms and privileges guaranteed by the 13th and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution and by subsequent acts of Congress, including civil liberties, due process, equal protection of the laws, and freedom from discrimination.
Blacks in America established a movement for civil rights that advocated for fundamental freedoms and privileges guaranteed by the 13th and 14th Amendments.
Too often I hear my fellow hetero brothas say gays didn’t sit on the back of the bus or get hosed down. My response is you don’t fear termination as an at-will employee by simply placing your partners picture in your work area. And you don’t live with constant fear of physical violence, termination, discrimination and ridicule for revealing who you love. And you don’t live in constant fear of physical threats or eviction if neighbors discovers two men renting a one bedroom. And the fear, violence and discrimination list is infinite. Many of you heteros are very angry and will insight violence over my right to love and share my existence with someone of the same sex.
Arnold Loewy said it best:
At one time in our nation’s history, Christians were favored over non-Christians, men were favored over women, whites were favored over blacks and heterosexuals were favored over homosexuals. The first three categories are gone. Non-Christians, women and blacks are all entitled to be treated equally. So, the last bastion of superiority remaining is that we heterosexuals can marry the mates of our choice, but you homosexuals cannot.
The nation has been well-served by eliminating notions of inferiority based on religion, gender and race. It would be similarly well-served by eliminating notions of inferiority based on sexual preference.”
